A Shore Thing

While you might glean from the last couple posts that I'm cooling off at the beach, down the coast, up the creek, et cetera, I'm not—it's all wishful thinking on my part. In reality, the closest body of water is the Hudson River.

That said, I'll continue my fantasy island hop with this now-classic bath. Slightly sentimental design, sure, but summer brings out the daydreamer in us all, yes?

is this a contemporary version of wall paper? why do i say this? the room's walls are decorated with a motif, that is presented in a pattern=like arrangement. this sounds like the wall paper of old. but the decorated wall surface is not a surface, really. the surface is a shallow space, defined by objects. this quite physical object/space play is not wall paper-like at all.

  2. I think you're on to something, Anonymous. Neither a flat surface nor paper...what could be a suitable name for this design treatment?

Thank you for your interesting observations.
