Bee skeps for lamp shades—short of fireflies in jars, I can't think of a more summery lighting design. The form of the island is rather labored, but I like its driftwood-like finish. There's a genuine haphazard aspect to this kitchen, and I can't tell if it's deliberate or accidental. I hope it's the latter.
